Stadium Renovations Begin At Aberdeen High School

The stadium and track at Aberdeen High School will remain closed into October as crews begin installing a synthetic turf playing field.

Renovations to the Aberdeen High School stadium complex are underway and should remain in effect through the start of the school year.

Construction crews are in the process if removing the natural grass surface of the stadium field and preparing for the installation of a synthetic turf surface.

The project would put Aberdeen High School on an even playing field -- literally -- with Havre de Grace, Edgewood, Bel Air, C. Milton Wright, Harford Tech and North Harford. Only Joppatowne, Fallston and Patterson Mill await turf installation, which was a facilities goal of County Executive David Craig.
