Costumes, Comics, Pumpkins and Parties: Aberdeen Weekend Guide

We've rounded up pre-Halloween weekend activities in and around Aberdeen.

Whether it's dressing up or getting scared, this weekend offers a bit of everything in greater Aberdeen.

Fall Festival

It's the last weekend of the Halloween season at Applewood Farm. Pick a pumpkin, take a turn at the two-acre corn maze or try your hand at the antler toss. The farm is open from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday; 4435 Prospect Rd. in Whiteford.

Looking for more pumpkin-picking opportunities? Check our pumpkin patch guide.

Treats

First Baptist Church of Aberdeen is having a block party, and you're invited. Food and fun are free at the event, which lasts from 1–3 p.m. Saturday; 219 E. Bel Air Ave. in Aberdeen.

Xpanding Universe wants to see your costume! The Aberdeen comic book store will give a treat to people who visit in their costumes. All visitors get a free comic book. Stop by from noon–4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday; 1010 F Beards Hill Rd. in Aberdeen.

Costumes

The town of Bel Air holds its annual Halloween Costume Parade and Trick or Treat downtown from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26; 5 Bel Air S. Pkwy. in Bel Air.

Real Life Community Church is throwing an indoor costume carnival at the Highlands School in Bel Air. The party lasts from 4–5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27; 2409 Creswell Rd. in Bel Air.

Scares

Take a spooky walk around town and learn a bit of history, with a tour from Havre de Haunts. Check it out at 7 p.m. Saturday; 217 N. Washington St. in Havre de Grace.

For a fright night, hit Legends of the Fog, a seasonal attraction which includes a freaky orphanage, haunted hayride and retro circus. Check the calendar for hours and ticket prices; 500 Carsins Run Rd. in Aberdeen.
